Friendly staff, great location with indoor and outdoor seating. Food was very good and my local German guide was quite impressed as well. I had schnitzel and heidesuelze and it came with a fresh crisp salad. Ambiance was traditional and cozy.

Found this small but cutesy restaurant with great service on Google maps after the place we originally wanted to go was full, and I am so glad it was! The Cordon Bleu with Hirtenkäse and mushrooms was one of the best things I have ever eaten in Germany. This place is definitely worth the detour from the Lüneburger Heide or the Autobahn.
